Florian Bernard is the founder of the AKIVI app.
The AKIVI project was born in 2017. If you are interested in learning about its evolution, visit the “About AKIVI” section of this website.

Florian Bernard is the founder of the AKIVI app.
“Anatomy plays a central role in the daily work of doctors and other healthcare professionals. Understanding anatomy is challenging and requires daily practice. AKIVI’s philosophy is to present anatomy in a practical way, as taught at the patient’s bedside, with hints and tips from the teachers. AKIVI’s aim is to convey in simple language, in the form of short lessons and assessments, all the skills to become a competent healthcare professional and pass your exams. Because we will need to learn anatomy throughout our professional careers, we want to develop progressive content and make the application evolve over time. When you subscribe to AKIVI, you are supporting a project that makes anatomy accessible… and exciting! We have lots of ideas for development! Do you have specific needs? Let’s talk!”

Cyril Royer is the CEO of the AKIVI app.
“As a 3D specialist, I’m constantly updating the AKIVI app with 3D views you can display on your smartphone. AKIVI features medical imaging, dissections and sometimes even sculptures reconstructed in 3D. allows for better spatial comprehension Daily interaction with doctors and professors of various specialties has given me valuable insight into the different levels of transmission for anatomical and medical knowledge. AKIVI is a means of sharing knowledge. I am really proud of it.”

Amandine Maillard is in charge of commercial management for the AKIVI app.
“As Head of Business at AKIVI, I lead the company’s growth, identify new partnerships, and optimize our commercial processes to maximize value for our clients and partners. My interest in high-impact sectors, particularly health and education, led me to join AKIVI, which offers innovative solutions to help education systems adapt to 21st-century challenges—especially by integrating digital tools for teaching future healthcare professionals about the human body. My goal is to steer AKIVI toward sustainable growth by anticipating market needs and delivering creative solutions to tomorrow’s training challenges.”
Reynald Dal Barco is in charge of AKIVI's digital communications.
“In a previous life, I managed a fair number of local and regional projects. I even experienced the ultimate entrepreneurial satisfaction when I sold my company to one of France’s leading online players. When Florian and Cyril asked me to help them make their case, as a web project manager I immediately understood the importance of their work for the education sector and the medical community. In a world where machines talk to machines, where users need digital reference points and more than ever seek truthful information, taking charge of AKIVI’s communication transcends responsibilities. Since 2017, AKIVI has brought together all the dynamics it has encountered. And understandably so. I have absolutely no medical background. Nor am I an academic. And yet, exploring the AKIVI app inspires me at every turn. If you too are sensitive to the idea of “transmission of knowledge”, you will understand what I’ve just written… The AKIVI train is entering the station. Get on board!”

The medical and healthcare professionals who contribute to AKIVI
AKIVI is not an isolated project. Nor is it static! Its ambition is driven by the commitment of academics and scientists who identify with the project’s mission of passing on academic knowledge to the healthcare professionals of tomorrow. This is a real opportunity for medical students to access authoritative expertise through our anatomical content. The anatomy professors who support us are involved at various levels of the AKIVI project. As a priority, based on their availability.
